Still, what an absolute banger, so powerful. My copy has a vinyl label of Jeff Buckleys Grace instead of the Poly Kicks diamond on it - all the time I thought this was some kind of joke. :-)

I don't think this has ever left my bag. A classic from the moment it got released.

Hackey Parrot is probably one of the greatest pieces of Dance Music made in the past few years - It's just a simply beautiful piece of Electronic Breakbeat Jungle Madness. Work me with Tempta-ta-ta-tation!

09/10. Been through the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's & can confirm that this man knows how to break, and Its fun. As for comments stating 'Trap' as an influence, I'd say this is a straight homage to the hardcore/breakbeat days of which Hackney was a major player, thanks to the likes of DJ Hype, Shut Up & Dance etc. Fairly obvious really.
Jelar
people who say this is unique clearly missed out on Zomby's trap/hardcore crossovers. Typical shit. Tune of a time. Not great but served its purpose well

I think that's a bit harsh. I'm always hearing about producers who are doing that 2-step stuff, or that old jungle at 125 stuff as if every Ken, Lou and Todd are at it. But show me these genre experimentations. I don't see them. OK so there might be the odd UK Garage record from Australia but I still have to look quite hard to find decent producers of genres related to the UK Hardcore continum (google it).

wow, well im a serious fan of both artists and I dont se whaere your coming from, do you have links?
Gralinda
Old sounds, new production. This is innovation?

Remember disco house? This has been happening since the dawn of music.
Meztisho
Yes, exactly.

The first of hopefully many EPs from this floor-shaking instant-dance label. Tessela blends jungle breakbeat and trap to make something truly unique. It's a foundation record, trust, kids in future generations will credit this to their influences.

I don't think it needs to be pigeonholed mate into a variety of genres, it's just a bloody good and ,as you mentioned, unique record just please don't bring trap into it now
Nuadabandis
What do you suggest? just Jungle and Breakbeat? cuz it sounds so unique you can't say its just Breakbeat with a heavy dose of Jungle in it.
Umdwyn
Trap? Seriously?
